The Man Who Turned into a Fish is ready to swim full steam ahead onto the Bryant Lake Bowl stage on Friday, March 23rd at 7PM. The Mad Munchkins have been furiously rehearsing and making puppets around the clock.
Every member of the cast and company has contributed to the conception, design, and construction of a menagerie of puppets to tell this magical story.
At last count there were 33 two eyed creations, 1 single eyed creature, 10 creepies with no eyes, and several dozen forms that appear only in shadow. That brings the grand total to 45 eyes and 24 shadowy forms watching back at at you. Don’t believe it’s possible? Come on out to the Bryant Lake Bowl and “see” for yourself!

Floating on waves of whimsy and casting into the darkness of the deep, Mad Munchkin Productions is pleased to announce the world premiere of their new work, The Man Who Turned Into a Fish, opening at the Bryant Lake Bowl. The yarn is both familiar and fresh, telling the tale of a boy turning man, a life teetering with obsession, and an overflowing heart skipping like a stone between land and water. Featuring music by local composer Richard Sloss and sawyer Rosalyn Claret, this exploration of the magical power of transformation and the desire to connect in our huge ocean of a world makes The Man Who Turned Into a Fish a voyage not to be missed.
